The objective of this project was to upgrade the existing street lighting infrastructure at the Kalamunda and Canning Road intersection. The existing lighting system comprised of outdated mercury vapor light fittings, which were inefficient and offer suboptimal lighting performance. The project involved replacing these fixtures with new, compliant LED fittings that provide improved light output, reduced energy consumption, and enhanced environmental sustainability. The upgrade also ensured compliance with current safety, energy efficiency, and environmental standards.
